Federal and State governments offer various grants and other incentives to assist projects that promote positive environmental or sustainability outcomes. While these programs can be great for getting marginal projects across the line, the application process can be complex and time consuming.
Ndevr takes the complexities out of the process and will maximise your chances of success. We can help find the right program and facilitate the project from inception to delivery. We have successfully secured funding under previous and current programs such as the:
- Carbon Farming Initiative (CFI) and Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF)
- Sustainability Advantage
- Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA)
- State Based energy savings schemes (ESS – NSW and VEET – VIC)
In July 2013 Fulton Hogan were successful in receiving a grant of $7.27 million to improve the energy efficiency of its asphalt manufacturing plants located at Townsville, Mackay and western Sydney sites. The project is expected to reduce the carbon emissions intensity across these plants by 37% and will result in savings of around $1.27 million in energy costs per year. We worked closely with Fulton Hogan; identifying opportunities, quantifying emissions and energy and commercial benefits, liaising with AusIndustry and assisting to submit a detailed and competitive Application.
Through the proactive management and positive approach employed by the team at Ndevr, Fulton Hogan was able to submit a comprehensive funding application to AusIndustry within a condensed timeframe. Ndevr’s knowledge of government processes and the CTIP program in particular proved invaluable throughout the course of the submission which was evident in the limited requests for information from AusIndustry. This lead to a streamlined and timely assessment and most importantly, a successful outcome. Thank you Ndevr for you hard work and dedication to the task.

Emissions Reduction Fund
The $2.55B Emissions Reduction Fund is the centrepiece of the Australian Government’s response to meeting our target of 5 per cent carbon reductions by 2020. The ERF is essentially an expanded Carbon Farming Initiative (CFI) where the Government is the buyer, although importantly it has been ‘opened up’ to new types of projects, including:
- industrial energy efficiency
- wastewater treatment
- commercial buildings
- coal mine waste gas
Our experience in the CFI space as auditors and advisors, coupled with our specialist engineering capability, sees us ideally placed to guide our clients through the end-to-end ERF process. We are actively working with our clients to enter their carbon saving projects into the scheme. Contact us to find out more about the ERF and other funding opportunities for your business. We can help you:
- conduct low-cost feasibility studies to help you pick ‘winning’ projects
- quantify carbon savings potential over the contract period
- assist with internal approvals process and briefings
- assist in the Registration process via the Clean Energy Regulator (CER)
- help develop a bidding strategy
- provide yearly/6-monthly verifiable carbon saving reports to the CER
